Shinfield Rangers send a big thank you to the school Shinfield St. Mary’s CE Junior School for the fantastic job by they did to promote the Girl’s tournament on June 8th. Amazingly, 101 girls, ie about a third of the school joined in! Whilst it was already a lovely sunny day, the real stars that shone brightest were the girls themselves, who all had a brilliant time and played well. All were keen to do their best, especially as every goal scored added lots of points towards the school inter-house competition.
Many thanks from us to all at the school who helped organise the girls into teams and encouraged them to play, with special thanks going to all the Sports Helpers who were excellent at helping us run the event on
the day.
At Shinfield Rangers, girls are always welcome. They can play in their own teams or as mixed one with the boys. And don’t forget there are Wildcat sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays run by RFC Community Trust.
